Travel

There's a huge choice of routes and modes of travel now available for those wishing to visit the Dordogne and the sunny climes of France. The Eurotunnel goes from strength to strength and the attraction of just sitting in your car on a train for half an hour is great. One minute you're in stressful UK, half an hour later you're in La France! And French roads are a dream to drive on. Just put the car into 5th or cruise gear and point south to Dordogne!

The choice of air travel is enormous. Bergerac and Brive-Souillac are the airports in the department with regular flights from the UK, but Bordeaux, Toulouse, Limoges and Angouleme are all within reasonable travelling distance, to give a wider choice.

Coming from the UK and Europe, there are many flights that will bring you to within about an hour’s drive from Brantôme. The closest airports are Angeloume, Bergerac, Brive and Limoges, although Bordeaux is only 1.45 hours away. The main airlines are  British Airways, Ryan Air, EasyjetandFlybe.

TravelBordeaux: International airport with direct flights from London, Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, etc. Operators include Air France, Aer Lingus, Easy Jet, British Airways, Ryanair.
